Take Action
On July 24th, President Bush visited the Treasury facility in northeast Philadelphia and was greeted by over 200 protesters, many of whom were rallying to support expanding the Child Tax Credit for parents.

In May during the rush to push through President Bush's tax break for millionaires, other programs had to be reduced or cutback in order to pay for these tax breaks. Im../mediately after passage of Bush's tax cuts, it was discovered that the families that most needed the Child Tax Credit, those earning between $10,500 and $26,550 were not going to receive the Child Tax Credit - this will affect about 12 million children!  The Senate moved quickly to correct this measure, however, both Houses have not moved on this legislation.  Please call Senators Specter and Santorum and your Congressional Representative
